Making Contributions

Contributions can be made in any amount. As little as $1/week or $52/year can make a big difference to someone in need.
  1. Payroll Deductions: DC government employees are encouraged to contribute by payroll deductions. This method provides an opportunity to support and contribute a “fair share” without causing an immediate out-of-pocket hardship. A small sum of money is deducted from your paycheck across the CY2007 pay periods. Also, when the payroll deduction method is used, the amount contributed appears on your pay stub and provides a convenient record for tax purposes.

  2. Cash, Check or Money Order: DC government employees may also choose to donate with cash, checks or money order.  Checks and money orders must be made payable to the DC One Fund. Cash, checks or money order contributions may be made in addition to payroll deductions. You are not limited to one type of donation. If contributions are made by check or money order, write the recipient agency designation code on the check or money order (example: Heroes–8360).

  3. All One Fund contributions are 100% tax deductible.
